Week 12 TV Predictions

Because Alabama used up its PPV option against Florida International, the game against Chattanooga has to be televised on ESPN Networks. CSS has a college basketball telecast in the evening, so I think that there could be a split SEC Network 12pm telecast.

CBS
LSU at Ole Miss, 3:30pm

ABC
Ohio St. at Michigan, 12pm
Oklahoma at Texas Tech, Oregon at Arizona, Penn St. at Michigan St., North Carolina at Boston College 3:30pm
Kansas at Texas, 8pm

ESPN
Iowa at Minnesota, 12pm
Kansas St. at Nebraska, 7:45pm

ESPN2
Duke at Miami (FL), 12pm
Kentucky at Georgia, 7:30pm

FSN
Baylor at Texas A&M, 12:30pm
Arizona St. at UCLA, 6:30pm

Versus
California at Stanford, 10pm

ESPNU
Maryland at Florida St., 12pm
Louisville at USF, 3:30pm
Chattanooga at Alabama, 7pm

Big Ten
Purdue at Indiana & Wisconsin at Northwestern, 3:30pm

Others
Arkansas at Mississippi St., 12pm SEC
Vanderbilt at Tennessee, 12pm SEC
Virginia at Clemson, 12pm Raycom
Rutgers at Syracuse, 12pm Big East
Iowa St. at Missouri, 12:30pm Fox College Sports
NC State at Virginia Tech, 1:30pm ESPN360

Cal and Stanford alums have told the respective athletic departments that a nighttime Big Game is not acceptable, so that game will not be late. It will go in either the 12:30 Pacific or 3:30/4:00 Pacific spot.

There have been several cases where the ABC San Francisco affiliate, KGO, has been allowed to pre-empt the 12:30 ABC Pac-10 regional telecast with a local telecast of the Big Game, shown on KGO only.

Makes sense. Using my site and nationalchamps.net, here's the game times for the Big Game for the past decade

All times PT

2008 ABC, 12:30pm (late addition, shown only in SF, Sacto and Fresno)
2007 Versus, 4pm
2006 FSN, 12pm
2005 ABC, 4pm (West coast only)
2004 FSN, 12:30pm
2003 KGO, 12:30pm (interesting that both Oregon St.-Oregon and UCLA-USC were televised by ABC in the same window)
2002 KGO, 12:30pm
2001 KGO, 12:30pm
2000 No TV (???), 12:30pm

What about using ESPN Classic for one of the SEC games instead of an east/west SEC Network split? They showed a South Carolina game on Classic earlier this year.
