Not likely.

Why do you think Kansas-Iowa St will be on FCS over Texas A&M-Texas Tech? (I know I am squabbling over bottom of Big 12 here.)

As it has been told to me, Texas A&M will not televise a home game if ABC or FSN has not picked it up for their primary telecast windows. The school's AD, Bill Byrne, has mentioned that they will not do PPV or Fox College unless they have a season ticket base equal to Kyle Field's capacity.

Since we know that isn't the case and Byrne has been lukewarm to Fox College televising away games of A&M, if ABC & FSN don't pick up an A&M home game, it won't be on TV.

And Byrne has had the same stance on PPV since '04. Apparently they did a PPV game that year vs. Iowa St. and only received a $15K check for the game. The broadcast quality of the game was bad, according to Byrne.

After FSN covers expenses, the profits are split 50-25-25. FSN gets 50% and the two teams split the rest.

According to ESPN MediaZone, the 10:30 pm slot on ESPNU is a same-day taped game (just as it is on 23 October). I would have picked the same WAC game there, but then I remembered how ESPN often uses that slot -- a MEAC or SWAC game from earlier in the day. Side note: next season, a new network will exist that will showcase a lot more HBCU football games live -- complete with the bands at halftime.

Also, thanks for the explanation about A&M. Great example about how for some, it's all about the almighty television dollar.

I see that Iowa State declined the FCS game also because they wanted their homecoming game to start at 1pm. Does that mean neither will be on FCS?

Seems likely. They might be working w/the Pac-10 to put one of two games on their (Cal-Oregon St. or Washington St.-Arizona St.).
