Possible ROOT Sports MWC football schedule

Here's the Mountain West conference games that haven't been selected for national TV.

The games that are crossed out meet one of the two following criteria

1) Neither home or away team resides in an "in-market" area for ROOT Sports.  I could see Time Warner SportsNet in California producing games that ROOT could pick up, but the listing says that ROOT will produce at least 10 games.  The schools that are considered in-market for ROOT Sports Rocky Mountain, based on their broadcast territory are Air Force, Colorado St., New Mexico, Wyoming and Utah St..

2) The kickoff time the home team has announced conflicts with existing Big Sky football games or Colorado Rockies games

All times ET

8/29: Sacramento St. at San Jose St. (TBA)
8/31: Colgate at Air Force (3pm)
8/31: UTSA at New Mexico (8pm)
8/31: Eastern Illinois at San Diego St. (7pm)
9/7: Cal Poly at Fresno St. (10pm)
9/7: UC Davis at Nevada (TBA)
9/7: Idaho at Wyoming (4pm)
9/14: Weber St. at Utah St. (8pm)

9/14: Central Michigan at UNLV (10pm)
9/14: Northern Colorado at Wyoming (4pm)
9/21: Hawai'i at Nevada (8pm)
9/21: Western Illinois at UNLV (9pm)
9/28: Fresno St. at Hawai'i (12am Sunday)
9/28: UNLV at New Mexico (8pm)
10/5: San Jose St. at Hawai'i (12am Sunday)
10/5: New Mexico St. at New Mexico (7pm) - Portland St.-Montana at 3:30pm
10/12: New Mexico at Wyoming (3:30pm) - No Big Sky game
10/12: Hawai'i at UNLV (8pm)
10/19: UNLV at Fresno St. (10pm)
10/19: Colorado St. at Wyoming (2pm) - Montana St.-Weber St. at 5:30pm.
10/19: Utah St. at New Mexico (9pm) - Montana St.-Weber St. at 5:30pm.
10/26: Wyoming at San Jose St. (7pm) - EWU-Montana at 3:30pm ET
10/26: Colorado St. at Hawai'i (12am Sunday) - Could be an Oceanic PPV simulcast
11/2: New Mexico at San Diego St. (8pm) - Montana St.-Northern Colorado at 2pm ET
11/2: San Jose St. at UNLV (4pm)
11/9: Fresno St. at Wyoming (3pm)
11/16: Colorado St. at New Mexico (7pm) - Fits as a doubleheader with EWU-Cal Poly at 3:30pm
11/23: Hawai'i at Wyoming (2pm)
11/30: Wyoming at Utah St. (2pm) - Big Sky schedule is done
11/30: Army at Hawai'i (11pm)

So, if the existing kick times hold, this group of games could form the ROOT Sports RSN schedule of MW games.

8/31: Colgate at Air Force (3pm)
9/7: Idaho at Wyoming (4pm)
9/14: Cal Poly at Colorado St. (TBA, but can't be later than a 4pm kickoff)
9/14: Northern Colorado at Wyoming (4pm)
10/5: New Mexico St. at New Mexico (7pm)
10/12: New Mexico at Wyoming (3:30pm)
10/19: Colorado St. at Wyoming (2pm)
10/19: Utah St. at New Mexico (9pm)
10/26: Wyoming at San Jose St. (7pm)
10/26: Colorado St. at Hawai'i (12am Sunday) - Could be an Oceanic PPV simulcast
11/2: New Mexico at San Diego St. (8pm)
11/16: Colorado St. at New Mexico (7pm)
11/30: Wyoming at Utah St. (2pm)

Thoughts?  Did I miss something?

My thought on the 9/14 Weber State @ Utah State game is that it could still be broadcast by Root since Utah has a separate sub-feed that is used for Utah Jazz games.

Since both teams involved are in the SLC DMA, I see it being possible that Utah receives WSU vs USU and preempts the Rockies.

Remember that last year ROOT Sports Utah did the ACC Regional game despite it being in conflict with the Big Sky game, so since most of the Big Sky schools aren't in the ROOT Rocky Mountain area, I wouldn't' be surprised if they did preempt one or two Big Sky games (unless Weber State or Northern Colorado are in it).

I have long thought that KMYU would renew their contract with Utah State and pick up Weber St/ Utah St, but if they don't, that game would seem like a lock for ROOT Utah.

KMYU broadcasts were horrible, at least for an out of state fan watching on ESPN3, it was like a time warp to the early 90s as far as prodcution quality goes. Broadcasts not picked up by ESPN3 and streamed (for $10) on the school website were even worse, SD, horrible bitrate.

I sincerely hope any Utah State games left not picked up by ROOT end up as MWC Digital Network exclusives rather than a subpar local broadcast like KMYU.

William, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but every home game will be on utahstateaggies.com no matter what. There's also the statement that MWC Digital will only do 5 exclusive broadcasts, and the Aggies have 5 untelevised games at the moment, 1 of which falls under the Pac-12 contract. Do you really think MWC Digital is going to spend their entire time in Logan? It'd be much more likely that the MWC would let Ciscom enter into a contract to do untelevised Aggies home games and then simulcast those on MWC Digital, the same way they are doing the ROOT games. Of course only 2 of the untelevised games are home games at the moment....

Aggies have 4 untelevised games currently (not sure which one you're missing, currently scheduled for 5 games on CBSSN, 2 on ESPN networks, and 1 on FS1. Of these remaining 4 games, one of them is at USC which will most likely be on Pac 12 network, or maybe FS1. If I had to guess, I think Wyoming and New Mexico will be on Root, with Weber State a possibility on Root as I stated above, but more likely on MWC digital network. That covers all their games with nothing left for Ciscom. I'm assuming Cis Com will be involved in the basketball coverage.
