Here are the games already set for television and/or webcast. Here are the known available telecast windows.
I have done my best to list what TV windows are out there. Every listing service has a little different schedule for these networks. It is also possible that a window could be eliminated or the time of a window could shift slightly to accommodate a network's needs.
Instead of cluttering up these posts even more, I'll try to keep track of the unique conference TV arrangements and six day holds used in a separate post.
A few notes and considerations:
* Per Yogi Roth's podcast with NBC's Todd Blackledge, Northwestern at Ohio State will be on NBC. I don't think its first choice for the week. That said, it would be Northwestern's 6th night game, which would be one over guidelines with Iowa at Northwestern on FOX in primetime this upcoming Saturday. Last year Nebraska had six night games, four of which were road games though one of them was a neutral site game where Cincinnati was considered the home team. If there's truly anything that precludes Northwestern from playing at night, swap Michigan at Oregon to NBC.
* I think FOX goes first followed by NBC, then CBS's choice listed below.
* With FOX, I have them choosing first for the Big 12. Went with Utah at Arizona for now but won't be surprised to see it on a six day hold and flip to Baylor at BYU or Texas Tech at Oklahoma State.
* The MEAC has the possibility of a wildcard selection for ESPN linear, likely ESPNU, on either 11/14 or 11/21. I'll use it on 11/21.
* No ESPNU early window because they are carrying the SIAC championship game
* I added a fourth window on ACC Network to fit everything in. Alternate ways to accomplish this would be to slide one of the Big 12 games to ESPN+ (I'd put Arizona State at UCF in that spot) or have two BTN games in a single timeslot, like Washington at Michigan State & Nebraska at Rutgers, moving Arizona State at UCF to FS1 in the evening.
* Tuesday's MAC TV assignments were made on Saturday night. Wednesday's are being guessed here.

7:30pm FOX: Texas Tech at Oklahoma State
7:30pm NBC: Northwestern at Ohio State
7:45pm SECN: Tennessee at Texas A&M
9pm ACCN: Wake Forest at SMU
10pm FS1: Wyoming at UTEP
10:30pm ESPN: Baylor at BYU
10:30pm ESPN2: Idaho State at Montana
I believe the SIAC championship game kicks off at 10:30 Eastern, so another option to fit everything in would 2pm, 5:30pm and 9pm Eastern windows on ESPNU. Since ESPNU seems like the logical destination for North Texas at UTSA, an 8pm local time kickoff works in a 9pm Eastern window.
ReplyDeleteThere was no baseball game on Fox for Friday October 30th!!
ReplyDeleteCorrect. What's your irrational point? This is a guesses post for games two weeks later.
DeleteOh I get it. Being irrational about a spreadsheet. I'm happy to take it down, or I'll just keep deleting your rants and leave the spreadsheet as is. It's a spreadsheet that for years you have not used for the correct reasons. I'm happy to just take the link down going forward.
DeleteI'm the only one who really needs it.
The other 99.9% of us appreciate the spreadsheet and fully understand that the potential for a baseball game that night was totally relevant to its purpose.
DeleteWell, for those here in Buckeye Land that want and love seeing night games in the Shoe, this would be the final chance... I personally can't stand them, lol... Would much rather have the 12 or very rare, 12:30 kick. I just think it would be really weird for NBC to have NW in primetime in back to back weeks.
ReplyDeleteIowa northwestern isnt on NBC, its on FOX in primetime, but anyway if someone said preseason northwestern would have 5 night games and possibly 6, they would not believe it
ReplyDeleteThanks for catching the network being incorrect. Fixed it
