CFB TV Guesses for 2018 Week 12 (11/14/18 - 11/17/18)

Here are the games already set for television and/or webcast.  Here are the known available telecast windows.

* ACC RSNs indicate a doubleheader of ACC games at 12pm & 3:30pm.
* Here's the deal: there's a glut of SEC games. I can't guarantee that each SEC Network window has two games, but this was the way I could get each game placed be along with most from other conferences.
* Yale vs. Harvard is guaranteed a linear TV slot, so I have it an ESPNEWS opening.
* BYUtv doesn't have an opening. I pushed their game over there. The channel has a women's basketball game at 6pm ET, which is why I slotted the football game at 2pm ET. They could move the basketball game start time to start the football game later too.
* I think you could see a reverse mirror at 8pm for ABC & ESPN2 if the games selected allow for it with ESPN2 not caring a late evening game.
* The Pac-12 Network schedule does not say the number of windows for 11/17 nor the start times.  Based on ESPN (19) and FOX Sports (19) using a combined 38 of 44 selections and the 11/24 schedule showing two Pac-12 Networks games of five available Pac-12 games, that leads me to believe that three games will air on Pac-12 Networks on 11/17, with the other three games split between ESPN & FOX Sports to get to their 44 regular season selections.  I'm assuming telecast windows of 2pm, 5:30pm and 9pm ET on Pac-12 Networks, but they do shift around as needed.
* In the Big 12, ESPN has used 21 of 23 selections.  I have them using one available selection here, leaving them with one selection for 11/24.  Note that they used the top selection for 11/17, per Iowa St., on the Iowa St. at Texas game airing on Longhorn Network.  I gave the FOX the choice right after that one.
* A similar situation exists in the Big Ten.  FOX Sports has used 24 selections of 27, while ESPN has used 23.  I have FOX picking first and using one selection & ESPN using two.  Looking ahead to 11/23 & 11/24, I think its possible that FOX could end up using 26 of their max 27 selections, but per the rights agreement sheet I saw, FOX's available selections is an elastic 24 to 27 games, which I assume is based on other programming commitments.

  1. If accurate, would this be the first UCLA-USC game relegated to P12N?

  2. Check the website for each year with the Pac-12. Might be.

  3. Not that it is a huge deal, but that game is at UCLA this year. (Backwards in the guesses).

  4. Appreciate the correction. I've updated the listing.

  5. Per Big 12 website, TCU at Baylor is on FS1 at 3:30pm et.

  6. Might be an inadvertant listing. Neither school acknowledges it yet. This morning they had not updated Baylor-ISU's TV info with the other games, but I didn't see if they updated TCU-Baylor instead.

  7. Iowa vs Illinois game is at Illinois not Iowa

  8. "there's a glut of SEC games." - obviously this comes from having too many teams playing at home (vs. buy-a-win opponents). Why does ESPN keep tolerating this? Wouldn't it be better for them if these games were spread out more? (i.e. not all at the beginning of the season either, but throughout SEP-OCT-NOV to the extent possible). Am I missing something, or is this the next big negotiating point for TV Networks?
