- Purdue at Penn St. (ABC/ESPN/ESPN2)
- Michigan St. at Ohio St. (ABC or ESPN)
- Kent St. at Wisconsin (ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU)
- San Diego St. at Colorado St. (Any linear TV platform or ESPN3)
* The following games are locked into their start times or start time ranges as Big Ten homecoming games:
- Purdue at Penn St. (12pm)
- Iowa at Michigan (12pm)
- Illinois at Minnesota (3:30pm or 4pm)
- Northwestern at Nebraska (3:30pm or 4pm)
- Michigan St. at Ohio St. (7:30pm) are locked into their start times as homecoming games.
* BTN once again has no night football game planned due to a volleyball match.
* FS1 listings currently have them carrying both ALDS games on Saturday and not licensing any to MLB Network.
* ESPN2 has UFC PPV prelims scheduled from 8-10pm ET.
* Only two game windows on ACCN are listed. Other taped programming will air in the early afternoon.
What I decided
* I gave Big Ten (Michigan St. at Ohio St., selected in preseason) & Big 12 (Texas at West Virginia) top choices to ESPN and the Pac-12 top choice to FOX (California at Oregon)
* Ball St. at Northern Illinois is listed in TitanTV as airing at 5pm ET on NBC Sports Chicago, so I decided to run with it

Trying to guess at the Big 12 selection order, we know that ESPN used the first pick for Week 2 (Texas-LSU) and FOX used the second pick for Week 7 (Texas-OU). I assume that ESPN used the third pick for Week 14 (OU-OSU) and they used a relatively high pick for Week 4 (Texas-OSU). Also, you would think weeks 1, 3, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13 are the bottom seven (and the number two in some weeks probably jumped ahead of the first pick in some of those weeks). If that is all correct (which it probably isn't), you get:
ReplyDelete1. ESPN - Week 2 (UT-LSU)
2. FOX - Week 7 (UT-OU)
3. ESPN - Week 14 (OU-OSU)
4. FOX - ??
5. ESPN - Week 4 (UT-OSU)
6. FOX - ??
7. ESPN - ??
The weeks that would match up with the ?? are Week 5 (Oklahoma-Texas Tech, which we know is a FOX pick), Week 6 (Texas-West Virginia), and Week 8 (Oklahoma-West Virginia).
(All of this assumes the non-Saturday games are part of a separate process, which could be entirely incorrect).
Seven would be FOX preselecting OU-Texas, but it's reasonable that ESPN has nearly everything underneath. FOX appears to have no other broadcast network games that day.
DeleteA game on ABC from Morgantown that doesn't happen often but maybe it will
