Good morning. 2022 is live on my site, so feel free to poke around.
I'll start with sketching out what I think the 2022 early season (Weeks 0-3) schedule will look like. Starting with Week 4 (the Saturday date of 9/24/2022), most games will have their time and TV outlets set 12 days in advance of the game date, so take that date of the game that won't be picked here, look at the Monday date of the prior week, and that's the date you should look for time and TV to be set.
Yes, there are six day holds that TV can use that will potentially affect that game's start time or TV outlet. There are also a few games that do get TV set farther in advance than most, such as Notre Dame home games and the Michigan-Ohio State rivalry game.
For Weeks 0 and 1, there are some typical conflicts with other sports that affect the available TV windows. I'm expecting these events to take up time.
- Little League World Series - ESPN and/or ABC afternoon (Week 0)
- Regular season MLB - FOX evenings (Week 0 and 1)
- Unknown for the most part is FS1's schedule
- US Open tennis - ESPN various times (Week 1 and 2)
- Potential exists for the following
- National WNBA on CBSSN and ESPN
If a game isn't listed here, assume its on the home team's streaming platform of choice, whether that is handled by a conference or independently.
Also, this is pretty much trash if C-USA and Sun Belt reconfigure for 2022.
EDIT: This has indeed become trash with respect to C-USA and the Sun Belt. I'll make modifications with strikethrough and this red bold italicized font.
