2022 Early Season CFB TV Guesses: Week 3

Week 3 CFB TV guesses for 2022 are below.  I'm assuming no MLB on FS1 at all and there's no primetime MLB on FOX at this time

If a game isn't listed here, assume its on the home team's streaming platform of choice, whether that is handled by a conference or independently.

Thursday
I'm kinda stumped as to what game gets moved here.  Maybe Rutgers at Temple since they could be waiting on the NFL schedule to see if Lincoln Financial Field is going to be used by the Eagles?  My brain was curious re: Maryland hosting a Thursday night game too, but it seems highly unlikely as a Big Ten member when the game isn't during the opening week of games.

Maybe Pitt at Western Michigan.  Cincy vs. Miami (OH) I'd think would be possible if it weren't scheduled for Paul Brown Stadium.

For now:

7:30pm ESPN: Rutgers at Temple

Friday
7:30pm ESPN: Florida State at Louisville
10:30pm Pac-12: Eastern Michigan at Arizona State

Because both ASU and Arizona are at home in September, there's usually a check with the networks to see if they want a game because if they air on Pac-12 Networks, they would likely air in the same timeslot due to heat considerations.  I'm making the assumption that neither ASU's or UA's game will be chosen by ESPN or FOX Sports, so I decided to move EMU at ASU to Friday night so both schools' games could air in the late evening.

2022 Early Season CFB TV Guesses: Week 2

Week 2 CFB TV guesses for 2022 are below.  I'm assuming no MLB on FS1 at all, but a primetime window of MLB on FOX.

Also, the midday ESPN window is being used by the US Open women's final.

If a game isn't listed here, assume its on the home team's streaming platform of choice, whether that is handled by a conference or independently.

Thursday
Usually ESPN has programmed the US Open women's semifinals that evening.  Coupled with the expected NFL Opening Night game on NBC, ESPN typically passes on placing a college football game on ESPN2.  They might end up placing a SWAC or MEAC game on ESPNU, but not do anything else

Friday
ESPN2 8pm: Louisville at UCF
ESPNU 8pm: FIU at Texas State
CBSSN 9pm: Boise State at New Mexico
FS1 9:30pm: Colorado at Air Force

Only the two games on ESPN Networks are set for Friday.  The others are speculative on my part and I'm not quite certain that FIU at Texas State is worth televising either.  Might be an ESPN+ game.  I kinda wonder if it was deliberately contracted for Friday knowing that Alabama at Texas is going to be on Saturday, similar to how UAB tries to work its home schedule around when Alabama & Auburn are either on the road or aren't playing.

Saturday
12pm ABC: Washington State at Wisconsin
12pm FOX: Alabama at Texas
12pm ESPN: Tennessee at Pitt
12pm ESPN2: Missouri at Kansas State

12pm CBSSN: UTSA at Army West Point
12:30pm ACC RSN: Western Carolina at Georgia Tech
1pm Pac-12: Southern Utah at Utah
2:30pm NBC: Marshall at Notre Dame
