CFB TV Confirmations for 2026 Week 8 (10/24/2026) & American Black Friday (11/27/2026)

This post will be updated as announcements come out for start times for Week 8 (10/24/26) from the (mostly) twelve day selection process that most TV networks adhere to. Most conferences have the possibility of having all or part of their scheduled games held for a six day hold for the start time and/or the TV network. The list of available TV windows are based on media websites, TV listings and press releases. They can change based on the needs of the broadcaster or the conference.

In addition to Week 8, it is expected that the American's Black Friday games will be selected.  Unsure if they'll set times for them, but the games will air at 12pm and 3:30pm ET on 11/27/26 on ESPN.

Here's what I guessed based on the available openings (they will prove to be incorrect), along with the games that have already been set.

It would make sense for Oregon-Illinois to be on BTN as Oregon needs a BTN conference games and their only games left are Northwestern (ranked), Ohio State (no way), Michigan State (Friday), Indiana (unlikely), and Washington (rivalry). Illinois just seems too obvious.

I agree with you. When I did the guesses, I landed on this week being their BTN week vs using the NW game.

That's probably right, but Illinois has completed their BTN requirements while both Northwestern and Washington have not, so either Oregon-Washington or Oregon-Washington would cover two teams with one game. Also, Oregon-Washington is on a day with 3 BTN games.

Any guesses on the way the Big12 6 day slots will play out based on what you know?

Nope.

Ha...thanks for replying. I am most interested in the Arizona/Iowa State game as I am traveling out for that one. Appreciate your site!

I looked back at the slots I had for the Big 12 games on my guesses, and its the exact same slots they're set to fill on the six day hold (WVU-TCU went to ESPN2 at noon instead of TNT, but I had a different Big 12 game on ESPN2 at that time) , so I really don't see anything I would do differently.

I saw a Twitter post that was angry that Arizona/Iowa State was placed on a six day hold considering it is ISU's Homecoming. Penn State/Michigan was UM's Homecoming and they didn't get a network but were given a fixed time.
